1. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Scheduled for release on February 20, 2025, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the latest installment in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Like a Dragon series. The game features Goro Majima as the main character.

Having been stranded on a remote island somewhere in Hawaii and no memories of his past, Majima embarks on a quest to recover his memories and discover hidden treasures.

Players have the opportunity to explore different locations in the game, including Rich Island, Madlantis, Nele Island, and the city of Honolulu.

Combat mechanics traces back to the series’ beat ’em up roots, with Majima possessing two fighting styles: the aggressive and swift “Mad Dog” style and the weapon-oriented “Sea Dog” style. The players also have the option to hire a pirate crew, upgrade their ship-the Goromaru-and engage in naval battles.

With its blend of engaging storytelling, dynamic combat, and plethora of side activites, this game promises to be a compelling addition to the franchise.

2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows

3. Monster Hunter Wilds

5. Grand Theft Auto VI

Almost two years ago, the gaming world was lit up with anticipation as Rockstar Games released the first trailer of the new installment in the famous franchise.

Grand Theft Auto VI will make its return to the iconic Vice City, within the new state of Leonida.

This also marks the game breaking new ground, as it features our first dual protagonists, and the first female lead. Their narrative is inspired by the infamous criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.

The first trailer provides glimpses into their dynamic partnership and the challenges they face in their criminal endeavors.

Although the full details of its release has not yet been disclosed with to the public, we can anticipate this game to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S first, with a PC port released later on, considering the series’ history.

Gamers such as myself have been heavily anticipating this game for years now, and as the release date approaches, the fans wait more details about the game’s features, missions, and the expansive world that Rockstar Games has crafted.

The game will release in Fall 2025 at the time of writing.
